Having initially started with the Revenue, Richard moved into a “big 4” firm before gaining further experience in mid tier firms specialising in personal and business tax matters.
Now with a wide ranging knowledge of the tax issues that face all family and small to medium size businesses, Richard is able to offer practical solutions to the varied problems businesses now encounter on a daily basis.
In particular, in recent years much of Richard’s work has been centred on business development issues and reducing the burden of tax through careful planning for many of our clients.
Having been responsible for creating and speaking at numerous presentations and seminars for both Banks Chartered Accountants and others, marketing remains an area that Richard has helped and guided many clients in.

Richard willingly maintains Banks Chartered Accountants pledge to meet any individuals or businesses to discuss their needs and requirements with all initial meetings undertaken on a no cost, no commitment basis.
Away from the office Richard likes to spend time with his family and following his children’s progression in their numerous out of school activities. On a personal note, whilst enjoying an interest in most sports, Richard retains a real passion for rugby where he follows Gloucester RFC as a season ticket holder and is a qualified coach at his son’s rugby club.
